Why is The Cage different?
Out of the hundreds of contestants selected from all over the country, 80 were finally selected. They formed 17 bands. After the grooming, the competition began. After a long journey, six bands reached the finals—Nine, Eden’s Garden, Carnation, Dopamine, Dusk n Dawn, and Rocksalt—and will fight for the title of champion.
Why is The Cage different?
The final judges will be Avoid Rafa’s vocalist Rafa, Warphase’s Palash Noor, Arbovirus’ guitarist Ranjan, and musician Tasfi. The time is one hour, and they have to form a whole band within that time. Some of the contestants are vocalists, some are drummers, and some are keyboardists. However, some do not know each other. The contestants find band members through chat. The young people are competing on the stage of ‘The Cage’ with the band they formed in one hour.
More than a hundred contestants have been selected for the audition. From there, 80 contestants were finally selected. They formed 17 bands. They were given two to three days to perform their first song.
The reality show was produced by production company Sinthila in search of young rock musicians.
The judges are Avoid Rafa’s vocalist Rafa, Warphase’s vocalist Palash Noor, Arbovirus’ guitarist Ranjan, and musician Tasfi. Guitarist Ranjan told Prothom Alo, “Despite trying for years, we can’t form a band. The contestants there found the band members in an hour. If any band survives from here, we are successful.”
Vocalist Rafa said, “This is one of the best experiences of my life. The show has been better than planned.”
