Desk Report,
Who advanced to the Club World Cup semi-finals, who faced whom?
The Club World Cup title race has reached its final stage. After starting with 32 teams, after various dramatic stages, the duel has now come down to four teams. That is, the Club World Cup title is going to be won by any of the teams of PSG, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Fluminense.
Who advanced to the Club World Cup semi-finals, who faced whom?
Fluminense and Chelsea will face each other in the first match of the semi-finals next Tuesday night. Four representatives from Brazil, including Fluminense, came to the Club World Cup. Each of the four teams made a surprise appearance in the group stage and advanced to the last sixteen.
Of those four teams, Fluminense and Palmeiras made it to the quarter-finals. However, Palmeiras’ journey stopped there. And now only Fluminense remains as the only representative. On the other hand, the European teams in the competition had a shaky start. They were slightly behind the Brazilian clubs at the beginning. However, the Europeans established their dominance from the last sixteen. In the sequence, three of the four teams that have made it to the semi-finals are now European. Now, of course, there is a chance of an All-European final, as well as a Euro-South America final. However, for that to happen, Fluminense will have to beat Chelsea in the semi-finals.
The task is not at all difficult for Fluminense, who defeated Inter Milan 2-0 in the last sixteen. Now it remains to be seen whether the same incident will be repeated in the semi-finals.
