Desk Report,
When the fire of love burns, it will burn on your body: Jaya Ahsan
Joya Ahsan: I have been shooting for ‘Aaj Aardhangini’ for two weeks. It is nearing its end. Although the shooting of this film has been completed, I am not returning to Dhaka for now. Because, after that, I will have to be busy with the promotion of the film ‘Dear Maa’, which has already started.

Prothom Alo:
Two of your films ‘Tandav’ and ‘Utsav’ were released in the country at the same time, that too during a big festival like Eid. You have acted in two different genres of films almost at the same time. How was your experience working on two characters?
Jaya Ahsan: The story structures of the two films are different. However, the shooting took place at the same time, and they overlapped. It was good in ‘Tandav’, after a long time I worked in a commercial genre film. It was a great experience. There was no problem at all in getting into the character. ‘Utsav’—Tanim Noor requested me. He said, ‘Apa, you have to do this.’ I agreed to his request without thinking anything. Since many people are making films after so long, I will be there in some way. My first film ‘Fire Eso Behula’ was directed by Tanim. When he made his second film, that was happy news for all of us. Everyone supported him like everyone else. Because, he is a tested director, he does good work. I think that after so long, such a good story, this story of Christmas Carol, is more or less known to everyone. Since he is making the approach of that story, I also said yes. However, no one could have imagined that ‘Utsav’ would do so well. I thought it would be good; but the way the audience accepted it, it proved that we should not lose faith in the audience.
