We have received the message, elections will be held before next Ramadan: Rumeen Farhana

BNP’s International Affairs Assistant Secretary Rumin Farhana said, “Our party’s acting chairman, Mr. Tarique Rahman, and interim government head Dr. Mohammad Yunus met in London. The message we received from that meeting is that there will be a free, fair, impartial and universal election (National Parliament) in Bangladesh before the next Ramadan. Our responsibility in this election is to elect the candidate of the paddy field, the candidate of the party.”

Rumin Farhana said this in a speech as the chief guest at the union-level BNP meeting at Senbari Muktomanch in Chunta Union of Sarail Upazila of Brahmanbaria. The main speaker at the event was District BNP Senior Vice President Zahirul Haque Khokon.

Rumin Farhana said, “Sarail-Ashuganj is a gas base, but we don’t have gas in our homes. What kind of rule is this? Gas goes from my area to the whole of Bangladesh. So where is the gas in my home? I promise, if I get elected with your votes, I will provide gas to the houses of the mothers and sisters of my area. Gas connection will be provided in this area.’ This work meeting was organized under the banner of Chunta Union BNP and its associate organizations. The program was presided over by former Chunta Union BNP president Habibur Rahman Master and hosted by former Chunta Union Chhatra Dal convener Bidhan Chandra Deb. The program was addressed by district BNP vice president ABM Mominul Haque, district BNP member Sarail Upazila BNP former general secretary Anwar Hossain, Sarail Sadar UP chairman and former general secretary of Upazila Chhatra Dal Abdul Jabbar, Upazila Krishak Dal convener Mashiur Rahman, Upazila Jubo Dal former general secretary Zahirul Islam, Chunta Union BNP former general secretary MA Rahim, among others.
