Three-day music festival in BPL, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to sing

Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is starting from December 30. BCB is trying to bring many innovations to make this year’s BPL attractive. In the meantime, the mascot and theme song of BPL have been unveiled. The graffiti and slogans used in the July-August mass uprising will be in BPL. Now it has been learned that the BPL opening ceremony will also have a touch of innovation.

The opening ceremony of this year’s BPL will be a big event. There will be a three-day music festival. Such plans are being made to further increase the excitement about BPL among sports lovers. According to BCB sources, popular Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be the main attraction.

The inaugural event will be held in three phases – Dhaka, Sylhet and Chittagong. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will perform at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on December 23. He will be accompanied by musicians Asif Akbar, Zephyr, Muza and the band Warphase. Apart from this, talks are underway with many popular artists of the country. BCB will announce their names once they are finalized

After the event in Dhaka on December 23, the next part of the BPL music festival will be held in Sylhet on the 25th and in Chittagong on the 27th. Although the date for Sylhet has been finalized, the date for Chittagong may change, BCB sources said. Asif, Muza, and Zephyr will also be present at these two events. Local artists will sing with them.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be seen on the stage in Dhaka ahead of the BPL music festival. He will sing at a concert titled ‘Echoes of Revolution’ at the Army Stadium in Dhaka on December 21. The charity concert has been organized by the student platform Spirit of July to stand by those killed and injured in the July movement.

This popular Pakistani artist will sing for free at this event. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has said that his fee will be donated to the July Smriti Foundation. He will arrive in Dhaka on December 20 to participate in two concerts in Dhaka. He is scheduled to leave Dhaka on December 24.
