This teacher from Kurigram gave away the ‘Bengal Language Writers Museum’ as a token of appreciation
Touhid. There is also a school. He had been thinking of building a museum on Bengali language and literature for a long time. But for that, he would need money! Where would he get that money? In 2022, he received 2 lakh taka as the ‘Best Teacher’ in the ‘IPDC-Prothom Alo Priyo Shiksha Sammanna’. Without further delay, Touhid-ul Islam set about building his dream museum with that money.

A semi-pakka tin shed house was built next to the house. That is now the museum. He inaugurated the museum on December 27 by collecting old newspapers, pictures, and books from different places. Fiction writer Anwara Syed Haque was present at the inauguration ceremony. There are five galleries inside the museum. Each has 200 bound pictures with information about 40 poets and writers. Below the pictures on the walls, there is the author’s identity. He has all the rare newspapers and magazines of Bengali literature and films. These include Bangadarshan edited by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay 140 years ago, Sabuj Patra edited by Pramath Chowdhury 110 years ago, the 1936 monthly Mohammadi edited by Mohammad Akram Khan, and the 1961 Rabindra birth centenary issue of Samakal edited by Sikandar Abu Zafar. The museum has many monthly and weekly periodicals and newspapers published in Bengali, including Pubali, Begum, Ultorath, Sachitra Sandhani, Sandesh, Jalsa.
