They arrested four of the extortionists. 16 thousand taka and a motorcycle were recovered from them. The others in the group fled with the rest of the money. The police and the victim’s family members reported this information.

Among the four arrested in the extortion case are Mirpur Police Station Chhatra Dal Senior Joint Convener Md. Ratan Mia (34) associated with the Jubo Dal of a ward in Mirpur, and Md. Ismail Hossain (24) associated with the politics of Mirpur Police Station Chhatra Dal, according to the police.

In this regard, Mirpur Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. After that, the Mirpur Police Station went to the spot. After receiving the information, RAB also reached there. Then the four people were arrested in a chase.

Sirajul Islam’s wife Jahanara Islam filed an extortion case with Mirpur Model Police Station this morning, accusing the four arrested people and 8-10 unidentified people. The four leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal were sent to the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court today after being shown arrested in that case.
