The fourth edition of Blender’s Choice – The Daily Star OTT and Digital Content Awards is underway.

The fourth edition of Blender’s Choice – The Daily Star OTT and Digital Content Awards is underway.
Blender’s Choice-The Daily Star OTT and Digital Content Awards 2024 is being given for the fourth time to recognize artists and artists of OTT and digital platforms in Bangladesh. It was announced at a press conference held at the Daily Star Bhaban today that awards will be given in 29 categories this time.
The Daily Star’s Head of Marketing and Sales Imran Qadir, Ispahani Tea Limited’s General Manager Omar Hannan, and Mediacom Limited’s CEO Ajay Kumar Kundu, in separate statements, said that awards will be given in 9 categories in the film, drama and series categories this time. There will be 12 categories in the critics’ award. There will be 4 awards for music, 3 awards for content creators. And a People’s Choice Award will be given from the series or drama by audience vote.
The people concerned said that in this event, just as experienced people working on various platforms will be recognized, the work of newcomers will also be evaluated separately.
Tajdeen Hasan, Chief Business Officer of Daily Star, believes that OTT platforms are changing the nature of entertainment in the country. Those who are the driving force behind this change, whose creativity has undergone this radical change, should be paid tribute to them. Stating that ‘this event is to honor everyone from the experienced to the emerging,’ he said, ‘this event is to honor those who are brave, talented and breaking barriers in the movement to take the content of OTT and digital platforms to new heights.’ Mediacom Limited always wants to work for cultural development, said the company’s CEO Ajay Kumar Kundu. He said, ‘A large section of the country is now the viewer of OTT and digital platforms. The scope of work here is now increasing. People associated with these diverse works were not recognized in that sense. Our journey begins for the fourth time by standing by the creative spirit.’ Omar Hannan, General Manager of Ispahani Tea Limited, said, ‘Our participation in the event is out of an effort to celebrate creativity and be closely involved in this work of advancing the cultural trend of Bangladesh. We want to honor the talents who are building the future of OTT and digital content in the country.
