After meeting with leaders of four parties including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus is now meeting with leaders of 13 more political parties and alliances. The meeting began at the State Guest House Jamuna on Wednesday afternoon. The meeting was attended by Syed Hasibuddin Hossain of the State Reform Movement, Jonayed Saki of the Mass Solidarity Movement, Mujibur Rahman of the AB Party, Shahidullah Kaiser of the Nagorik Oikya, Nurul Haque of the People’s Rights Council, Redwan Ahmed of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Ahmed Abdul Quader of the Khelafat Majlis, Saiful Haque of the Biplobi Workers Party, Tania Rob of the National Socialist Party-JSD, Shahadat Hossain Selim of the 12-Party Alliance, Bazlur Rashid Firoz of the Bangladesh Socialist Party (BSD), Ruhin Hossain Prince of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), and Mizanur Rahman of the Gono Forum.

The chief advisor is holding this meeting after the fighter jet crashed at Milestone School and College in Uttara, causing casualties and subsequent student protests at the Secretariat and Milestone College.
