Amanullah Aman, one of the members of the advisory council to the BNP chairperson, said to the interim government, “Finish the reforms quickly and hold elections. The elected government will take steps on all issues. If BNP comes to power, a national government will be formed with the people.”
Aman said this while speaking as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the biennial conference and council session of the Sonadanga Thana BNP in Khulna. The conference was held at Shibbari in the city on Monday morning.
The BNP leader said, there is no division within the party. The party is united. There is hope among the party leaders and workers for posts; but the infiltrator will not get any post in the party.
Amanullah also said, the acting chairman of the party, Tarique Rahman, will come to the country soon, to Khulna. You will remain united.
Former DUCSU VP Amanullah said, “The place where the conference is being held today was named ‘Zia Hall’ after former President Ziaur Rahman. The previous fascist government wanted to change the name and erase Zia’s name. This hall will be named after Ziaur Rahman.”
The first phase of the conference was inaugurated by Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona, convener of the city BNP, under the chairmanship of Sonadanga Thana BNP leader Hafizur Rahman Moni.
