Desk Report: Garment workers must pay all outstanding salaries and allowances by May 28 before the upcoming Eid al-Adha, otherwise legal action will be taken against the garment owners concerned, and they may even have to go to jail. Crime Desk: A policeman has been accused of cutting off a farmer’s wrist with a ramda in Sripur, Gazipur. The incident took place in Tantisuta village of Barmi union of the upazila on Tuesday morning. The victim farmer appeared at the police station with the severed wrist.
