Sraboni Roy studied at the Department of Pharmacy of Jahangirnagar University. Her father is an engineer and her mother is a housewife. Sraboni Roy’s journey to become an entrepreneur began in 2017. She completed her Masters in Pharmacy and joined a pharmaceutical company in 2015. However, her inner entrepreneurial spirit could not bind her for long. After just one and a half years, she decided to quit her job and do something on her own.
To turn her dream into a reality, she started the journey of Amber online in 2017. She faced some challenges at the beginning of her business. She had to take a break from the business for a while due to having a child. But she did not stop because of her indomitable willpower and love for the business.
From 2021, Sraboni took her business forward with new enthusiasm. In 2023, she established her first showroom. The first showroom was in Mirpur, Dhaka. The next showrooms were in Uttara, Bailey Road and Mohammadpur, Dhaka. She made and sold all the products including sarees, Punjabi, salwar-kameez, kurti, shirts. Sraboni designs herself in addition to her own designer. She has a factory in Mirpur. 100 employees work in the factory and showroom.
