Son arrested in the case of killing his father
Fahad Hasan Mahmudul, the only son of a businessman named Alam Mia (60) in Nasirnagar, Brahmanbaria, has been arrested. Later, based on the information provided by his son, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) recovered the weapon used in the murder from a local pond on Thursday.
Fahad Hasan Mahmudul, the only son of the murdered victim Alam Mia, has been arrested. Mahmudul, who got married a year and a half ago, used to look after his father’s business. Alam Mia’s body was recovered from his house in Munshi Para of Fandauk Union of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon, September 3. The deceased Alam Mia is the son of Wahed Ali of that union. He used to trade in rod and cement in the local market. In this incident, Alam Mia’s son Mahmudul, who was arrested, filed a complaint with Nasirnagar Police Station as the plaintiff. The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has been given the responsibility of investigating the complaint.
At that time, the family of the deceased said that after the death of his first wife about 2 years ago, Alam Mia married Amena Begum of Manpur village in Lakhai upazila. After marriage, there was a dispute between them over having a child. As the relationship was strained over this, Amena committed the murder. But the PBI found something else in the investigation of the incident. The only son of the deceased, Mahmudul, was arrested. Later, based on the information he provided, the weapon used in the murder was recovered. Several local residents, who did not want to be named, said that Mahmudul may have committed the murder mainly for his father’s property. Police Inspector Mohammad Belal of the Brahmanbaria Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) said that the case is under investigation. Based on the information provided by Alam Mia’s son, the pipe used in the murder was recovered from the pond. For the sake of the investigation, details cannot be given now.
