Random shooting took place upazila of Pabna to take over Balumahal. A young man named Sohan Molla (28) was shot in the incident. The incident took place in Islampara of Sara union of the upazila on Saturday morning.

The shot Sohan Molla is the son of Sahabuddin Molla of Majdia Chowdhury Para in Ishwardi. He was cutting cow grass in the field. He was later rescued and given primary treatment at the Ishwardi Upazila Health Complex and admitted to Pabna General Hospital.
Local people and eyewitnesses said that the two sides have been in conflict for some time over Balumahal, which is on the border of Ishwardi in Pabna and Lalpur in Natore. To take control of Balumahal, people often come from Lalpur in speedboats and shoot at the people of Ishwardi area and intimidate them. Yesterday around 10 am, some armed men came and started shooting indiscriminately. Sohan Molla was injured when he was shot in the hand. He was later taken to the hospital.
Sohan Molla, who is undergoing treatment at the hospital, said that he was cutting grass for cows in the field. At that time, some people came in a speedboat and started shooting indiscriminately. He was shot in the hand and fell to the ground. Later, when the speedboat left, local people rescued him and took him to the hospital.
Mehedi Hasan, the lessee of the sand pit in Sara Ghat, has alleged that a terrorist group from Lalpur has been trying to illegally occupy their legal sand pit for a long time. They have been coming repeatedly and threatening them by firing bullets. This has left the local people, including the workers of the sand pit, in a state of panic. Farmers are unable to work in the fields. They are demanding the immediate arrest of these terrorists.
