It was seen on the spot around 1:45 pm that some students had blocked the road in front of the education board. This has created a long traffic jam on the road. Another section of the students are standing in front of the main gate of the education board and are chanting slogans. The students standing in front of the board said that the students are mentally disturbed due to the plane crash at Milestone College in Uttara, Dhaka. They have been delayed in postponing the HSC exam without considering their mental condition. They received a notification of the postponement of the HSC exam at 3 am.

Md. Raihan, an HSC examinee of Omar Gani MES College who was at the scene, said that the education advisor and secretary must resign. Even after such a tragic incident, the education secretary thought about conducting the exam. He did not think about the mental state of the students.

Chittagong Education Board Chairman Ilias Uddin Ahmed told Prothom Alo, “The students did not formally submit any demands to me. I sent representatives, they did not want to say anything.”
