Weather forecast website AccuWeather said that there is a 65 percent chance of rain in Pallekele today. The weather in Pallekele will be warm and humid in the afternoon. The temperature will be around 32 degrees Celsius, but it will actually feel like 35 degrees. The sky is likely to be 70 percent cloudy today.
Rain has also had a major impact on the last 5 ODIs held in Pallekele. Of these, the third match in the last Sri Lanka-New Zealand series last November was abandoned. The second ODI match in that series was also held in Pallekele and the length of that match was reduced due to rain.
Earlier, Sri Lanka played a three-match ODI series against the West Indies last October. In all three matches of that series held in Pallekele, the overs had to be reduced due to rain.
