DUCSU’s newly elected Vice President (VP) Abu Sadiq Kayem, General Secretary (GS) SM Farhad, Assistant General Secretary (AGS) Muha. Mohiuddin Khan and other winning leaders of this panel were present at the time. After the prayers and supplications, Abu Sadiq Kayem said that their main task is to fulfill the aspirations and expectations of the martyrs. They want to start that from Dhaka University. This is where the July Revolution began. And they successfully completed it. They seek prayers from everyone, including the freedom-loving students and the public. Students can ask them questions at any time. Their job is to work.
The newly elected VP of DUCSU said, ‘The martyrs are our beacon of inspiration. They showed us the way. The deposit of the martyrs is to build a Bangladesh without discrimination. We have come to visit the graves of the martyrs to revive that spirit. We will try to visit all the martyr families. We have also tried to talk on the phone. The families of the martyrs in July are our family.’
The newly elected GS S. M. Farhad said, today they are starting the post-victory work of their panel by visiting the graves of the 1971 Liberation War and the July martyrs. After that, they will listen to the students. Before officially taking charge, they will talk to everyone as elected. They have started the work by praying for the martyrs of their long struggle.
SM Farhad said, “The trust of the martyrs’ sacrifice has been entrusted to us, to build a beautiful campus, so that we can pay the price of their sacrifice through our work. So that we can continue to uphold the promise made to the students by keeping it.”
