Police want to remand actor Siddiqur for 10 days in murder case
Police have requested to remand actor Siddiqur Rahman for 10 days in the Parvez Bepari murder case filed at the capital’s Gulshan police station.
The application was filed at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court on Wednesday afternoon.

A hearing on the remand application will be held this afternoon. Earlier, actor Siddiqur Rahman was produced in court from jail this afternoon. He is currently in custody. Several videos of Siddiqur being beaten up on April 29 went viral on social media. In the video, a group of youths can be seen dragging Siddiqur away with his clothes torn. At that time, some were raising their hands on him. Siddiqur was crying. While being taken away, people were chanting slogans calling him a friend of the Awami League.
Siddiqur was handed over to the Ramna police station after walking on the street with his clothes torn. Later, Siddiqur was handed over to the Gulshan police station. He was then arrested in the Jabbar Ali Howlader assassination attempt case. The court granted him seven days of remand for questioning in that case.
