Pilot Taukir’s body reaches Rajshahi residence
The body of Flight Lieutenant Taukir Islam alias Sagar, who died in a plane crash inside Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka, has reached his home in Rajshahi. His body was brought to Rajshahi Cantonment by an Air Force helicopter at 2:55 pm on Tuesday. After the formalities there, at 3:20 pm, Army and Air Force officials took Taukir’s body to a rented house in Sector 3 of the city’s suburb next to the cantonment in an ambulance. At that time, hundreds of eager people gathered in front of the house. Relatives broke down in tears. His body is scheduled to be taken from his home to the District Liberation War Memorial Stadium. After the funeral there, the body will be buried at Sapura Graveyard. Flight Lieutenant Taukir Islam died in a warplane crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, the capital, on Monday afternoon. His father, Tohurul Islam, is a businessman. Their village is in Shibganj, Chapainawabganj. However, he has been living in Rajshahi city for about 25 years.

Taukir studied at New Government Laboratory School in Rajshahi until class 6 and then enrolled in Pabna Cadet College for class 7. He was a student of the 34th batch of that college. Taukir joined the Bangladesh Air Force after passing his higher secondary in 2016.
