A brave freedom fighter was killed in a collision between two trawlers crossing the Sandhya River in Banaripara, Barisal. Two other passengers of the trawler were also injured. The accident occurred around 11 am on Thursday, Banaripara Police Station OC Md. Mostafa said.
The deceased brave freedom fighter is Abdul Mannan Bepari (80), a resident of the Gardwar area of ​​the upazila.

Banaripara Police Station OC Md. Mostafa said, he boarded a small trawler crossing the river from the west bank of the Sandhya River to the port on the east bank. Another trawler was going to the ghat on the west bank from the east bank. The two trawlers collided due to the current. As a result, the brave freedom fighter fell on the trawler and three others were injured, including the brave freedom fighter. The injured were taken to the Upazila Health Complex. The brave freedom fighter was declared dead there. The family took the body without filing any complaint.
The OC said that if any complaint is received, action will be taken after investigation.
