Nurul Haque demands arrest of top Jatiya Party leaders including GM Quader

Gana Odhikar Nurul Haque demands Parishad President Nurul Haque has accused Awami League of appeasing Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader. He said that HM Ershad (late) and GM Quader have enriched Awami League for the past 16 years. For this, top Jatiya Party leaders including GM Quader should be arrested immediately Nurul Haque demands.

Nurul Haque said this at an emergency press conference at the central office of Gana Odhikar Parishad on Sunday afternoon. General Secretary of Gana Odhikar Parishad Md. Rashed Khan read out a written statement.

Nurul Haque said that a written complaint will be submitted to the Election Commission (EC) tomorrow demanding the cancellation of the registration of all parties. He called the Awami League a ‘fascist and a cross-border conspirator’ and demanded that the party be banned and its assets confiscated.

The President of the Gana Odhikar Parishad said that the responsibility for the escape of former President Abdul Hamid is not only the SP of Kishoreganj, but also the role of senior officials of the Immigration and Home Ministry. However, the government has put the responsibility on the shoulders of only one district police officer.

Nurul Haque demanded that the interim government remove some advisors, stating that they were involved in controversial activities. He said that this government should be transformed into a national government by removing the advisors who did controversial work and discussing with important political stakeholders.

At the press conference, General Secretary of the Gana Odhikar Parishad, Rashed Khan, said that the organizational activities of the Awami League have been banned. The registration of the genocide should also be suspended or canceled. The Awami League should be banned completely after the trial is completed quickly. Until then, the movement should continue.

Also present at the press conference were Senior Joint General Secretary of the People’s Rights Council Hasan Al Mamun, Higher Council members Abu Hanif, Shakil Uzzaman, Mahfuzur Rahman Khan, Habibur Rahman, Joint General Secretary Zilu Khan and others.
