His pace slowed down a bit towards the end of the first half, but he started to put pressure on Flamengo’s defence again after the break. That continued with the goal coming 6 minutes before the end of the regular time. Neymar, receiving a pass from a teammate on the left wing, turned and scored with a physical dodge.
However, Santos fans may be more pleased with Neymar’s full 90 minutes on the field than the goal. Neymar played a full match for the first time in almost five months. This was his first match against Flamengo since May 2013.
