NCP to hold ‘July Walk’ to build the country
The (NCP) will march in all districts of the country throughout July to listen to the stories of those who participated in the July Uprising. The program has been named ‘July March for Nation-Building’.
NCP to hold ‘July Walk’ to build the country
This Sunday morning, NCP convener Nahid Islam announced the program at a press conference at the temporary central office of the party at Bangla Motor in the capital. The press conference was organized to mark the anniversary of the July Uprising.
Announcing the program at the press conference, Nahid Islam said, ‘To commemorate the student-public uprising, a July march will be held in all districts of the country from July 1 to 30. It has been named “July March for Nation-Building”. The march will begin on July 1 with a visit to the grave of martyr Abu Sayeed. During this time, we will visit the families of the martyrs. We will visit their graves. We will talk to the injured soldiers and the students who participated in the uprising. We will listen to their aspirations regarding July. The leaders of the National Citizens Party will do this march together.’

The National Citizens Party (NCP) will march to all districts of the country throughout July to listen to the stories of the people who participated in the July Uprising. The program has been named ‘July march to build the country’.
This program was announced by the party’s convener Nahid Islam at a press conference at the temporary central office of the NCP in Bangla Motor in the capital on Sunday morning. The press conference was organized on the occasion of the anniversary of the July Uprising.
Announcing the program at the press conference, Nahid Islam said, “To commemorate the uprising of the students and the people, a July march will be held in all districts of the country from July 1 to 30. It has been named “Desh Garte July March”. This march will start on July 1 with a visit to the grave of Shaheed Abu Sayeed. During this time, we will visit the families of the martyrs. We will visit their graves. We will talk to the injured soldiers and the students and people who participated in the uprising. We will listen to their aspirations regarding July. The leaders of the Jatiya Nagorik Party will hold this march together.”
Nahid Islam also said, “We have formed a July march implementation committee. This committee will implement the entire march program. Jatiya Nagorik Party’s northern chief organizer Sarjis Alam has been made the committee convener and joint convener Anik Roy has been made the member secretary. We will inform the details of which route and district the march will take on social media Facebook.’
In addition, the party’s convener Nahid Islam has also announced that July 16 will be the anti-discrimination martyr’s day, August 3 will be the reading of the July declaration and manifesto by the students and the public at Shaheed Minar, and August 5 will be the student and public’s liberation day.
Nahid Islam said that July 16, the day Abu Sayeed was martyred, will be observed as the anti-discrimination martyr’s day. Prayer mahfils and memorial services will be held for the martyrs across the country on that day.
