The National Citizens Party (NCP) rally titled ‘New Bangladesh Manifesto’ has started at the central Shaheed Minar in the capital. The rally was supposed to start at around 4 pm today, but it started an hour later.

The rally, moderated by NCP senior joint convener Ariful Islam Adib, was attended by party convener Nahid Islam, member secretary Akhtar Hossain, northern region chief organizer Sarjis Alam, southern region chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah and other central leaders of the party. In addition, leaders and activists from different parts of the country have joined the procession. Family members of the martyrs and injured people of the July coup are present at the central Shaheed Minar. NCP convener Nahid Islam will announce the manifesto of New Bangladesh from today’s rally.
Before the rally began, several NCP leaders told Prothom Alo that the party will give a new message to the countrymen from today’s rally. They said that the manifesto will highlight the issues that need to be paid attention to in order to build the country beautifully. They will especially highlight the issue of civil dignity and justice. In addition, the demand for the implementation of the July Charter and the July Declaration will also be made. The demand for speedy trial of the murderers, including Sheikh Hasina, will also be mentioned in the manifesto. Before the rally began, Jabed Rasin, joint convener of the National Citizens Party, told Prothom Alo, “The NCP, a party formed after the mass uprising, wants to build a new Bangladesh. How we want to see a new Bangladesh, what plans we want to take for Bangladesh, how we want to change the country through changes in all sectors including education, health, and defense, will be outlined today. The manifesto of a new Bangladesh means a new outline for building the country.” make
