Natore took the exam in one subject, failed in two.

Desk Report,

Two SSC candidates from Baraigram Upazila of Natore participated in the exam in one subject this year, but their results showed them as failed in two subjects.

Sabbir Ahmed, a candidate of Food Processing Trade under the Technical Education Board of Ahmedpur Degree College in Baraigram, and Arafat Sardar, a student of IT Support and IoT Basics Trade of Baraigram Pilot High School, have such errors in their results. Ahmedpur Degree College sources said that Sabbir Ahmed failed in the self-employment subject out of 15 subjects in the 2024 SSC exam. This year, he took the exam in only that one subject. After the results were published on July 10, it was seen that in addition to self-employment, he was also shown as failed in agriculture, which was not a subject listed in his exam.

Sabbir says, “I did not take the exam in agriculture, but I was shown as failed in that subject.” This is extreme negligence on the part of those who prepared the results.’

Isahak Ali, principal of Ahmedpur Degree College, said, ‘This mistake may have been due to a mistake in the IT section of the Technical Education Board. We have contacted the board.’

A similar mistake was also seen in the results of another examinee, Arafat Sardar. Sources at Baraigram Pilot High School said that Arafat failed only in chemistry in the 2024 SSC examination and participated in that subject only this year. But the results showed that he failed in chemistry as well as agriculture. However, his admit card did not include agriculture. Arafat said, ‘Such a mistake is unexpected.’

Mahbubur Rahman, headmaster of Baraigram Pilot High School, also confirmed the error in the results and said, ‘We are informing the board to take necessary steps.’
