Mother still missing after trying to bring son, son returns
Afsana Priya (30) went missing after picking up her son from school after a fighter jet crashed at Milestone School and College in Uttara, the capital. Her son, a third-grade student, Afsan Ohi (9), returned unharmed, but Afsana is still missing.

Afsana’s relatives said on Tuesday afternoon that they had searched for her in various places, including the hospital, until 2:30 pm today, but they could not find her. The missing Afsana is the wife of Abdul Wahab Mridha, a businessman from Mediashulai area of Chapair union in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur. The relatives said that Afsan Ohi is a third-grade student at Milestone School and College in Uttara. His mother, Afsana Priya, went to school with her son on Monday morning as usual. She was staying in the guardians’ room after the classroom. Suddenly, an Air Force fighter jet crashed and fell on the school grounds. The fire from the crashed plane set fire to a building at Milestone School. At that time, parents ran to save their children. Afsan Wahy was found alive at one stage, but his mother has not been found yet.
Missing Afsana’s brother-in-law Dulal Mridha said, “After receiving the news, we reached the spot and searched a lot. But she has not been found yet. If anyone has found her, we request you to contact the control room and the family.”
Afsana’s cousin Tajul Islam said, “My cousin Afsana has not been found yet. However, her son has been found. I have brought Afsana home. According to her description, a part of the plane hit Afsana’s body. The family is still searching in various places.”
