Milestone holiday extended for the third time until Saturday

The holiday at Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka, has been extended for three more days following the crash of a fighter jet. As a result, normal educational activities were supposed to start from Monday, but that did not happen. All educational activities have been suspended for the third time, extending the holiday until Saturday (August 2).

Milestone School and College Vice Principal (Administration) Md. Masud Alam confirmed this information to Prothom Alo. He said, “Our permanent campus in Diyabari will be closed until Saturday (August 2). However, all administrative activities will continue.” Md. Masud Alam said, “We are talking to the students and their guardians, they are eager to return to normal educational activities. Hopefully, we will be able to return to normal educational activities soon.”

On July 21, a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crashed in a building of the educational institution, causing casualties. After that, the holiday was extended for 3 days in the first phase and then for Friday and Saturday until Monday (July 27) in the second phase. The holiday was finally extended for the third phase today.
