Malaysia decides to hire workers who cannot go
The notification said that the approval of the relevant Malaysian authorities has been received for employment in Malaysia through Bangladesh Overseas Employment and Services Limited (BOESL) from among those who could not come to Malaysia by May 31 last year. The Malaysian government has decided to recruit these workers in the construction or tourism sectors. The notification has urged the tourism sector workers to submit all the information according to the attached checklist to verify the demand letter to go to Malaysia on the country’s FWCMS (Foreign Workers Centralized Management System) online portal.
And all applications of construction sector workers must be submitted to the FWCMS portal through the country’s Construction Labor Exchange Center Berhad (CLAB) with the necessary information. In addition, a request has been made to submit the original copy and one set of photocopies of all the information submitted on the FWCMS portal to the Bangladesh High Commission.
It is worth noting that last year, 16,970 workers were unable to go to Malaysia even after completing all the procedures and obtaining the final clearance. A part of them could not collect the flight tickets. And another part did not receive the final consent of the employer from Malaysia. The employer did not send a confirmation to receive them from the airport.
