Security has been tightened at the university gates surrounding the elections. At around 8:15 am, a banner prohibiting outsiders has been hung at the gate adjacent to the saffron area behind the campus.
Police are deployed at various places on the campus.
Dhaka District Superintendent of Police (PPM) Anisuzzaman said that there is no risk so far. However, outsiders will try to enter through the saffron gate compared to other gates. That is why more law enforcement officers have been deployed there.
