Iran will be able to get through difficult times
Erdogan said at the OIC meeting, “Iran will undoubtedly be able to overcome this difficult time with the strength of a thousand years of solidarity and tolerance.” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also attended the conference.
Diplomatic sources said that a special meeting was held yesterday Saturday with the participation of all OIC member states at the request of Iran. This meeting is being organized in Istanbul as part of the 51st Foreign Ministerial Session of the OIC in the context of the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.
The aim of this conference is to create unity and develop a coordinated response to the ongoing conflict. The conference is being held at this critical time of increasing tensions in the Middle East. The member states are seeking to discuss the Israeli offensive and broader regional security issues.
According to information received from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, this time the meeting is being held behind closed doors. According to Tasnim News, 40 officials are participating in the meeting. At the meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas said that the issue of the Zionist regime’s attacks will be discussed at the meeting.
Earlier, Araghchi met with the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, France and Germany in Geneva last Friday. However, the meeting with European leaders was not fruitful. However, they wanted to continue talks to stop the war. Iran has said that it will only follow the path of diplomacy if the Israeli attacks stop. At the end of the Geneva meeting, Araghchi said, “Iran is ready to consider diplomatic talks again if the attacks stop. I am making it clear that Iran’s defense capabilities are not subject to negotiation in any way.”
