Information sought on irregularities in teacher recruitment at Dhaka University in the last 16 years
The university authorities have urged the public to submit written complaints along with evidence regarding irregularities in teacher recruitment and promotion during the Awami League regime at Dhaka University from 2009 to August 2024. They have been asked to file complaints with the investigation committee by July 25.

This information was given in a press release sent by the university’s public relations office on Thursday. The member secretary of the investigation committee is the acting registrar. A request has been made to file complaints with him.
The committee was formed in the syndicate meeting on March 17. The 5-member committee was formed with retired professor of the chemistry department of the university and syndicate member Tajmeri S. A. Islam as the convener.
The other members of the committee are Dhaka University’s associate vice-chancellor Professor Mamun Ahmed, retired professor and syndicate member of the public administration department A. K. Firoz Ahmed, and the current dean of the law faculty. The acting registrar will serve as the member secretary.
