Shahid Uddin Chowdhury said, “If elections are held in February before Ramadan, then we can assume that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will represent this government. Tarique Rahman will take charge as the Prime Minister of that government. From now on, Tarique Rahman is preparing, what will he do in 180 days, what will he do in 365 days.” Therefore, Tarique Rahman’s hand must be strengthened in building Bangladesh with new ideas, bypassing the barbaric-militant era, discarding the 17-year trend, and with new trends and new ideas.’ Raising the issue of reforms, Shahid Uddin Chowdhury said that the reforms that the interim government is talking about are a reflection of Tarique Rahman’s 31-point reform. Professor Muhammad Yunus went to London. He met with Tarique Rahman. Now many people are asking why he met in London. First, there will be a meeting with BNP. BNP is a big party. They have experience in running the country.

Therefore, the previous politics will not continue. The 17-year trend will not continue. People will have to be reassured in a new way. Tarique Rahman will present a new politics. He will present a new social system. Because, we have taken the challenge of building a country under the leadership of Tarique Rahman.’

Criticizing Sheikh Hasina, Shahid Uddin said, ‘What else can I say about the one who fled on August 5. But what she has done is worth remembering. We must remember that fascist Hasina forever, we cannot forget her.’
