Eight policemen injured while trying to stop BUET students from going to Jamuna: Home Ministry
Eight policemen were injured in the incident of preventing the protesting students of BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology) from going to the Jamuna residence of the chief advisor, the Home Ministry has said. This information was given in a notification issued by the Public Relations Officer (Director) of the Home Ministry on Wednesday. The notification said that eight members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) were injured this afternoon in the incident of preventing the protesting BUET students from going to the Jamuna residence of the chief advisor. The injured policemen have been admitted to the Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital. The condition of two of the injured persons is critical.

The injured policemen are DMP Ramna Zone DC Masud Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADC) Rejoanul Islam (37), Assistant Sub-Inspector (SI) Touhidul Islam, Farhad Ali (29), Constable Adib (22), Constable Aminul Islam (20) and Constable Shraban (20). Among them, Touhidul Islam and Adeeb are in critical condition.
