Dengue cases on the rise in Sylhet division
The number of dengue patients is increasing every day in Sylhet division. New patients are being found in sample tests. This year, 134 dengue patients have been identified in the four districts of the division.
3 more patients have been identified in the previous 24 hours since 10 am on Saturday.
Sylhet Divisional Health Office sources said that out of the 134 patients identified this year, 71 are from Habiganj district. The highest number of patients among the four districts of the division has been identified in Habiganj. However, most of the patients have been infected in different parts of the country including Dhaka and have come to Habiganj.
Of the remaining 3 districts of the division, 28 are in Sylhet, 20 in Moulvibazar and 15 in Sunamganj.
The Health Department said that as of Saturday, 8 of the patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Of these, 3 are in Sunamganj District Sadar Hospital, 2 in Habiganj District Sadar Hospital, 2 in Lakhai Upazila Health Complex and 1 in Osmani Hospital.
