Comilla University (CUB) has decided to move away from the cluster system (General, Science and Technology-GST) and conduct an independent admission test for the 2024-25 academic year. The decision was taken at the 83rd Academic Council meeting of the university today, Sunday.
Comilla University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Haider Ali confirmed this information. He told Ajker newspaper, “We have decided to take an independent test instead of the cluster system today through the Academic Council meeting. Our admission test will be held in April itself.”
Earlier, CUB has been admitting first-year undergraduate first semester students through the cluster system from the 2020-21 academic year. Last Wednesday, various student organizations submitted a memorandum to the university’s Vice-Chancellor demanding to move away from the cluster system and conduct an independent test.
