Chief advisor mourns plane crash victims
Principal Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus is expressing deep shock and sorrow over the casualties caused by the crash of a training aircraft at the Milestone School and College campus in the capital’s Uttara’s Diabari area.

In a condolence message, the Principal Advisor said, “The loss suffered by the Air Force and Milestone School and College students, guardians, teachers and staff, and others in this accident is irreparable. This is a moment of deep sorrow for the nation. I wish the injured a speedy recovery and instruct all authorities, including the hospitals concerned, to deal with the situation with utmost importance.” The Principal Advisor said the government will take necessary measures to investigate the cause of the accident and ensure all kinds of assistance.

A Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into a building at Milestone School and College in Uttara, the capital. The fire service has confirmed the death of at least one person in the incident. Rescue work is underway at the scene.
One by one, the victims of the fire are being taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. As of 3 pm, 20 people have been admitted there. Hospital officials say that most of the victims are students.
