The Bangladesh Air Force has taken special initiatives to provide medical care and overall assistance to the injured in the tragic incident of a fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College in the capital’s Uttara. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release on Thursday that a coordination cell has been formed at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery and the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka to ensure proper treatment of the injured.
Important issues such as treatment of the injured in the accident, supply of necessary medicines, communication with families, exchange of information and quick decision-making will be handled through this coordination cell. This includes doctors, nurses, administrative officers and representatives of the Air Force, who are working non-stop.
It is worth noting that last Monday, an Air Force training vehicle crashed in the Milestone School premises, causing a fire in a building, injuring many students, parents and local residents. Since this incident, the injured are being treated at the National Burn Institute and CMH, many of whom are in critical condition.
This initiative by the Bangladesh Air Force, along with the government, is being considered as a humanitarian effort to stand by the victims of the accident. The coordination cell will help the injured complete their treatment activities more quickly, effectively and in an organized manner. Through this arrangement, a place of hope has been created for the affected families.
The press release said that the coordination cell has been formed at Room 811 of the National Burn Institute (Mobile number 01769993558) and CMH (01815912617).
