Nasir Uddin said that he has worked in the government service. When people criticize him and say that he voted at night and committed fraud, he feels hurt.

Stating that it was possible to deliver fair elections together in 1991, 1996 and 2001, the CEC said, ‘Why can’t we do it now? We have to do it.’ Referring to the controversial elections, he said that the administration’s image has been severely damaged; the image of the police has been severely damaged; the image of the law enforcement agencies has been severely damaged. This (the upcoming election) is an opportunity to restore this image.

Nasir Uddin said, “I would like to appeal to those who will be involved in this election to try to earn the respect of the people. You should come out of the image that has been tarnished. We want to prove that we can, government employees can, law enforcement can; if they are truly sincere.”

Regarding the date of the upcoming election, the CEC said that he himself does not know the date of the election. Details including the date of the election will be announced two months before the election. Therefore, he urged patience.
