Businessman stabbed, robbed of Tk 25,000 in Rampura
It has been alleged that robbers stabbed a businessman named Al Mamun (35) in Rampura in the capital and took away Tk 25,000. The injured Al Mamun has been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The incident took place in Bagichartek area of West Rampura on Friday evening.
Al Mamun’s elder brother Al Amin told Prothom Alo at the hospital that Al Mamun’s house is in Bagichartek area of West Rampura. He has an electrical equipment business there. In the evening, he was going from his house to offer Maghrib prayers at the Jama Masjid adjacent to Ansar Camp on Bagichartek 3rd Street. When he reached the mosque, local drug addicts beat him up and stabbed him in the head and snatched Tk 25,000 and a mobile phone. He was later taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Inspector Md. Faruk confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the matter has been reported to Hatirjheel Police Station.
