BRAC Bank’s profit increases in the second quarter
BRAC Bank’s profit increased in the second quarter of this year. The bank’s earnings per share (EPS) in the April-June quarter was 1 taka 54 paisa. It was 1 taka 25 paisa in the same period last year.

In addition, BRAC Bank’s profit per share increased in the first six months of the year. BRAC Bank’s earnings per share in the first six months of the year were 3 taka 56 paisa. It was 2 taka 62 paisa in the previous year, meaning that BRAC Bank’s financial situation has improved in the first six months of the year. EPS increased mainly due to the increase in the bank’s investment and interest income. This information was available in an announcement on the Dhaka Stock Exchange website. According to the website, net cash flow per share (NOCFPS) stood at 44 taka 24 paisa in the January-June period, compared to 30 taka 99 paisa in the previous year. The company said that cash flow increased due to increase in deposit collection and bank loans. However, there was a slight slowdown in loan disbursement compared to the previous year.
On the other hand, the net asset value (NAV) per share increased to Tk 42.60 as on June 30, 2025. It was Tk 39.38 as on December 31, 2020. The company said that this increase was due to the revaluation of net profit and government securities.
BRAC Bank shareholders have been paid a 25 percent dividend for 2024. Out of this, 12.5 percent is cash dividend and 12.5 percent is stock. In 2024, BRAC Bank achieved a consolidated growth of 73 percent compared to the previous year. As a result, their net profit after tax (NPAT) was Tk 1,432 crore, which was Tk 828 crore in 2023. On a standalone basis, net profit after tax stood at Tk 1,214 crore, which was a growth of 66 percent compared to Tk 730 crore in the previous year.
