The admission process for students in the External Bangladesh (NIS-2) HSC Program (2025 batch) run by the Open School of Bangladesh Open University has started for the 2025-26 academic year (2025 batch).
Interested Bangladeshi expatriates or immigrants working or residing in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Italy, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates or those of Bangladeshi origin will be admitted to this program through the Bangladesh Embassy in that country.
Admission Eligibility-
Humanities and Business Education—Admission will be made in two branches. The applicant must have passed SSC or Dakhil or O-Level or equivalent examination recognized by the government. Must be a citizen of Bangladesh, a legal immigrant of Saudi Arabia or Qatar or Kuwait or the United Arab Emirates or South Korea or Italy or of Bangladeshi origin.
Admission Details Time-
Date of online application for admission: Until 29 June 2025.
Application fee to be submitted: 610 taka.
Publication of list of students selected for admission: By 10 July.
Submission of admission fee: From 11 to 31 July 2025.
Classes start: 8 August 2025. Follow

Education method-
The program will be conducted in distance learning mode using the online platform of Bangladesh Open University.
Registration period: The registration period of this program is a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years. That is, no student will be able to complete it before two years and no student will be able to participate in the exam after five final exams.
Required documents-
Scanned copy of the candidate’s recent photograph and signature. Scanned copy of SSC or equivalent exam certificate. Scanned copy of National Identity Card/Smart Card/Online Birth Registration Certificate. Scanned copy of Passport. Scanned copy of Residence Permit Card.
The student’s name and date of birth and the names of his/her parents must be written exactly as per the SSC or equivalent examination certificate in the application form.
If there is any discrepancy between the information (name or date of birth) mentioned in the student’s certificate and the NID/passport, the information in the SSC examination certificate will be considered correct.
