Awami League’s founding anniversary poster pasted at BNP office in Bogra
Party posters celebrating the foundation anniversary of the banned Awami League have been pasted everywhere in the Majhira Bandar area of Shajahanpur upazila of Bogra, including the office of the Upazila BNP. The matter came to the attention of locals on Monday morning. Police claim that Awami League workers and supporters pasted these posters in the dark of Sunday night. Shajahanpur Upazila BNP President Enamul Haque said that the banned Awami League has no right to carry out party activities. Provocation was given by pasting posters of this banned organization at the BNP office. The people involved must be arrested immediately.

Ali Imam, Vice President of Shajahanpur Upazila Jubo League, said that the posters were pasted at their party office to congratulate BNP on the foundation anniversary of the Awami League. Shajahanpur Upazila Awami League President Sohrab Hossain also gave the same information. He said that the posters were pasted to congratulate the people on the foundation anniversary of the party.
Shafiqul Islam said that the police visited the scene. However, the poster was removed before the police reached the spot.
Meanwhile, the police conducted a drive and arrested the office secretary of the Upazila Jubo League, Molla Ahmed Arif (Azad). The police arrested him from a house in Chopinagar Dakshin Para of Chopinagar Union. Arif was a member of Chopinagar Union Parishad.
