The businessman filed a case against the young woman at the Kotwali police station in the capital on June 12 for allegedly extorting money through fraud. He says that the young woman is already married. She also has a child.
On the contrary, the young woman’s statement that she hid the marriage is true. However, she did not take three crore taka from the businessman. Rather, ‘the businessman, who is the same age as her father, trapped her and forced her to have a relationship day after day. He will also take legal action against the businessman.
The investigation officer of the case, Kotwali police station Sub-Inspector (SI) Noor A Habib Faisal, told Prothom Alo that the case filed by the businessman is being investigated seriously. What is the truth in reality will be found out.
The 59-year-old real estate businessman lives in Rampura in the capital. His wife died six years ago. According to him, he regularly uses the social media platform Facebook. A year after his wife’s death, he met the 19-year-old girl on Facebook. Later, he took the girl’s mobile phone number. After that, they talked regularly. A good relationship developed between the two. At one stage, he proposed marriage to the girl.
According to the businessman, at that time, the girl said that her father had died a long time ago. Her mother was very ill. She had a younger brother. She was in financial trouble. Because of this, she sought financial help from the businessman. Later, the businessman went to the girl’s house in Chittagong. He assured the family that he would be by her side.
