Passenger injured after falling from moving train after being pulled by robber
A passenger was injured after falling from a moving train while trying to save his mobile phone from a robber in Mirzapur, Tangail. The incident took place at Mirzapur railway station on Saturday afternoon. The injured passenger is named Jahidul Islam (24). He is the son of Mujibur Rahman of Ahmedpur village in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj.

Narrating the incident while undergoing treatment at a local clinic, Jahidul said that he boarded the Rajshahi-bound Silk City Express train from Dhaka’s Airport Station to go to his village home. At around 5 pm, the train slowed down to stop at Mirzapur station. At that time, he was standing at the door of the train. Suddenly, a robber grabbed his hand and pulled him to snatch the mobile phone from his hand. The robber snatched the mobile phone. And he fell from the train onto the station platform. His head exploded. Later, one of his fellow passengers took Zahidul to a private clinic in Mirzapur for treatment. The clinic’s managing director, Harun Or Rashid, confirmed the incident. Mirzapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Rashedul Islam said that no one had filed a complaint with the police station regarding the incident.
