An evening caught in the magic of music in Sydney

An evening in Sydney seemed to be trapped in the magic of Hubert Khokon’s melodies. The audience was curious about his songs; there may have been hesitations about how he does it. However, last Saturday evening, Khokon’s voice erased that curiosity and hesitation, and one after another, a popular song appeared on the stage; and Sydney’s evening seemed to be lost in the magic of melodies.

The cultural evening ‘Ami Banglaay Gaan Gai’ was organized by Sydney’s Realhome Properties. For almost three hours, in front of a packed audience, Hubert Khokon’s elegant and graceful voice brought to life timeless Bengali songs like ‘Ami Ek Yajabor’, ‘Chokher Nazar’, ‘Ami Banglay Gaan Gai’ or ‘Ai Path Jod Na Shesh Hay’. And the musical atmosphere of the entire program was created by Sohel Khan, Shahriar Jamal, Khalid, Niladri Chakraborty, Romel Hasan, Abhijit, Fabiha Siddiqui. And Arpita Somchowdhury was impeccable in dancing. The songs ‘Ki Mayay Bhevech Amay’ sung by Fabiha or Niladri’s ‘Tomar Bhubane Phuler Mela’ seemed to have found new life on the Sydney stage.
