BNP wants to create an educational environment where there will be no discrimination in education and research: Salahuddin Ahmed

Salah Uddin Ahmed said these words while speaking as the chief guest at a dialogue titled ‘Education and Educational Field’ organized at the Institute of Diploma Engineers auditorium in the capital this Sunday morning. The dialogue is organized by the Youth State Thought Platform. This BNP Standing Committee member commented that if Bangladesh gets a high-quality research environment, talented people will return to the country after higher education abroad. He said, we must remember that just as politicians are responsible for nation-building, so are teachers. However, cooperation must be taken from ordinary students and student organizations. By combining these three factors, it will be possible to form a state. Talent trafficking will decrease. Talented people will get an environment to stay in the country. If the country gets a high-quality research environment, talented people will return to the country after higher education abroad.

Salah Uddin Ahmed said that if talented people leave the country, they do not return. Because, in the last few years, such an environment has been created that talented people do not return to the country. But in the case of China and India, talented people are going to developed countries with knowledge and developing their respective countries. They are becoming one of the best countries in the world in technology. They did not stay abroad. But that is not happening here.

Salah Uddin Ahmed opined that education in the mother tongue up to secondary school should be made compulsory in Bangladesh. He said, education in the mother tongue up to secondary school should be made compulsory here. Because, the language that a child learns from his mother, does not learn grammar. Foreign languages must be learned. But if history, mathematics, science are taught in that foreign language, then the development of talent will not be proper. This must be kept in mind. It is not enough to create English-medium schools alone.
