The deceased Ismail Hossain was the son of Abdur Rahim Bhuiyan of Khanepur village in Ghorashal municipality area of ​​Palash upazila and was the joint convener of the Upazila Chhatra Dal.

A clash broke out between two BNP factions in the BADC area adjacent to the Palash bus stand around 7:30 pm on Sunday. The two who were shot were Ismail Hossain, the joint convener of the Upazila Chhatra Dal, and Sohel Mia, an activist of district BNP’s joint organizing secretary Fazlul Kabir. Abdur Rahim Bhuiyan said that his son Ismail died at around 2 pm today while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College. His body is currently kept in the morgue for autopsy. It has been said that his body will be handed over after the autopsy. The body will be taken to his village house at night and buried.

It has been learned that Abdul Moin Khan, a member of the party’s standing committee, has sole influence in Palash Upazila BNP. PS Bahauddin Milton handles everything in the constituency on his behalf. Meanwhile, Fazlul Kabir (Jewel) got the post of co-organizing secretary in the newly formed district BNP full committee. After getting the post, he came to the area to conduct a drill with his workers. At that time, the two sides got involved in a clash. Ismail Moin Khan is a worker of the party.

It has been learned from talking to the leaders and workers of both parties that Fazlul Kabir was conducting a drill in the area. After the drill, which started from the bus stand, reached the BADC intersection area, the leaders and workers of the other party who were waiting attacked them. At that time, when they also tried to resist, the two parties got involved in a clash. At that time, Ismail Hossain and Sohel Mia were shot and fell to the ground. In that incident, Ismail was shot in the lower chest and Sohel in the buttocks. Fazlul Kabir was also injured in the beating.

Abdur Rahim Bhuiyan said that his son Ismail died while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 2 pm today. His body is currently kept in the morgue for autopsy.
