Drake’s betting on various controversial events is nothing new. A few hours before the start of the IPL final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, Drake said in an Instagram post that he had bet on who would be the champion.
In a post titled ‘A Sala Kap Namde’ (This year the cup is ours), Drake has bet $750,000 on Bengaluru on crypto-betting platform Stake, which is equivalent to Rs 6.41 crore in Indian currency. The bet had odds of 1.75 in favour of Bengaluru.
Drake won $1.3 million, or over Rs 110 million, on the bet as Bengaluru won by 6 runs in the final.
