Bumrah is in such a bind even in a 436-run match

Rohit Sharma scored 81 runs off 50 balls with 9 fours and 4 sixes. Jasprit Bumrah gave away 27 runs in 4 overs and took a wicket in the match between the two teams to cross 200. Both of them are credited with taking Mumbai Indians to the qualifiers by defeating Gujarat Titans in the Eliminator.

Gujarat were chasing a big run. But Jasprit Bumrah stood in their way. They scored 76 runs in six overs of the power play. By then, Gujarat opener Sai Sudarshan had scored a half-century off 28 balls.

Despite this stormy batting, Bumrah gave away 4 runs in the second over and 11 runs in the last over of the power play. He returned the next time in the 14th over. Bumrah took the wicket of Washington Sundar for 4 runs in that over, breaking his 84-run partnership with Sudarshan.

Bumrah came in the 18th over to give away 9 runs in his last over. Gujarat needed 24 runs in the last over. However, Ashwini Kumar took a wicket for 3 runs in that over. Gujarat lost the match by 20 runs and was eliminated.

Mumbai will face Punjab Kings in the second qualifier on Sunday.
