Two arrested, beaten up during ‘robbery’ in Mohammadpur, one dies
Two youths were beaten up while robbing in the capital’s Mohammadpur. Of them, one named Md. Yamin (23) has died. Another named Md. Fahim (22) is seriously injured and undergoing treatment in the hospital. The incident took place on the banks of the Buriganga River near Chandrima Model Town in Mohammadpur at around 3 pm today, Monday. Police said that people caught Yamin and Fahim while robbing some locals. Then they beat them up.

Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kazi Rafiq Ahmed told Prothom Alo that two youths were beaten up by locals on charges of robbing. One of them died. His body has been kept at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue. The seriously injured Fahim has been admitted to the hospital. No case has been filed in the incident yet.
